When the covers came off Tim Martenstyn’s black, slammed and blown HK Monaro at Summernats 35, we knew we had to point a camera at it.
Same goes for Cameron McNabb’s NORTY Capri – another star of the show at the Meguiar’s Great Uncover this year. The quality of this ProFlo-built weapon is absolutely second to none, but that hasn’t stopped Cameron beating up on it at the track a number of times already.
Then there’s Nick Ursino’s stunning LC GTR tribute, boasting the most prodigious stance and powered by a turbocharged LS with almost 1000rwhp of stonk.
Serdar Karabulut’s XY is gorgeous too – finished to perfection, sitting beautifully over a set of Welds and powered by a staunch aspirated small-block Ford.
Then we have Joe Esposito’s Camaro with 615 cubes, twin 96mm turbochargers and 20x15 rear wheels, soon to be engineered and registered for street use!
Repeat offender Jason Behan is back with yet another Valiant build, this time a VG ute with an engine swap that’s sure to upset the purists, and long-time Street Machine scribbler Iain ‘Marv’ Kelly breaks cover with his epic ’bagged and blown ’64 Pontiac Bonneville.
On the event side, we hit up the bigger-and-better Lardner Park Motorfest, as well as Australia’s largest Mopar get-together, Chryslers on the Murray.
All in all, it’s not one to be missed!
