There are some incredible cars in this month’s mag, starting with Adam and Kelly Rogash’s epic new Mk1 Capri, STRIPSHOW. The twin-turbo big-block monster has already run 6.91@199mph, which Adam calls “taking it easy”!
If you’re more of a blower fan, check out Ray Elia’s VH Valiant Regal, which packs 543ci of Mopar fat-block topped with a shiny 10/71 and Joe Blo EFI injector hat.
Pat Langdon’s HQ represents the all-motor crew, rocking 632ci of GM’s finest for 1000hp and change, with no need for artificial aspiration.
Next up is Jason de Silveira’s rad LSA-powered, worm-burning ’70 C10, followed by Cat Hewitson’s VK-fronted VL Calais drift weapon that’s motivated by a screaming NASCAR mill.
The family-heirloom XT Fairmont build from legendary Aussie drag racer Ben Gatt is a bit more restrained, though it still boasts one of his famed race engines under the flat bonnet.
Steve Thrift’s cherry-black EH is another family ride, with 500hp of injected SBC sending it toward 10-second ETs.
Ash Wilson brings us a big feature on Cooly Rocks On, which delivered five days of retro goodness in the Queensland sun, while Grudge Kings 2023 went off in a big way at Sydney Dragway, with wheelstands and PBs galore.
On that note, check out Brendon De Ruyter’s 1200hp, seven-second K24-powered Celica in the Drag Challenge column, and Lee Murray’s ProCharged iron lion LJ Torry in Urban Warfare.
