IT’S good to be the king, and no one knows this better than Peter Grmusa, whose KINGXA Falcon graces the cover of our February 2025 issue, having just claimed the coveted Pro Burnout Champion crown at Street Machine Summernats 37. Grab the mag and find out what it takes to win the biggest prize in burnouts. Here’s a hint – it has a bit to do with 2100hp worth of 14/71-blown, 702ci big-block shove!

On the subject of Summernats 37, we’ve got a massive spread on the event in the February issue. Check out all the new metal and who won what, as well as some of the wackier creations our team spotted while exploring Australia’s biggest and best horsepower party.

If you enjoy mega-horsepower, big-block muscle cars like Grumsa’s XA but you’re more of the GM persuasion, you’re sure to enjoy Mario Busljeta’s HQ Monaro. Despite weighing in at over 4000lb, this staunch Quey has already gone 7.1@199mph early in its development, but that’s what nigh-on 3000hp at the hubs will do for you!

Swinging back across to the Blue Oval side of the fence, Marion Breski’s ’67 Mustang is a tough take on one of the world’s most popular muscle car body styles. With a ton of custom fab work from the wizards at ProFlo, 20in Schott billets and a blown, EFI, 369ci Dart-blocked Windsor, it’s one hell of an offering.

Dimitrious Apostoleris backed the popular option of a fettled GM LSA V8 for his LX Torana hatchback, also opting for some modern styling choices rather than the well-trodden path of an SS/A9X replica.

Likewise, Dan Kummerow’s supremely cool HG wagon boasts an awesome modern twist on an old-school theme, with black-over-green two-tone paint and Cerakoted brightwork. A tough, turbocharged LS on E85 powers what Daniel claims is “just a cruiser”!

For the Mopar faithful, we have Robert Crosby’s VH Charger, tubbed and powered by a nitrous-huffing 410-cuber.

You may recognise this epic little Corolla as once belonging to the late Nathan Allen. West Aussie Justin Treasure has rebuilt the car and is using it to spread a positive message.

All this and heaps more in the February issue of Street Machine – on sale now!
