This issue we officially announce the winner of the 2024 Eagle Auto Parts Street Machine of the Year award, supported by Enthusiast Motor Insurance. Mega-congratulations to Heath van der Waerden and his epic, retro-inspired pro touring Torana hatch for topping the voting and claiming the $20,000 cash prize!

Pro touring maestros the Ringbrothers are world-renowned for their exceptional work with American muscle cars. Recently debuted at SEMA, this gorgeous Plymouth Barracuda known as ‘Infected’ boasts a full Roadster Shop chassis and blown Hellcrate Hemi heart.

Sam Caruana’s ’68 Camaro is a proper toughie that’s built to cruise, with a howling, 1000hp, Whipple-blown small-block under – and indeed through – the bonnet. Great detailing and a killer stance make it one hell of a car.

Daryl Willsher’s F100 long-bed was imported from South Dakota and turned into a kick-arse streeter by the gurus at Rides By Kam. Slammed low thanks to airbags on all four corners, it’s built Ford-tough with Chevy stuff, with LS power under the hood.

Not all young blokes are wasting their time on TikTok – some are busy in the shed building tough chrome-bumper street cars. Take Daniel Fitzsimmons and this blown, 355ci Holden-powered LJ Torana, for example!
